Various kinds of skills have been forged by Setia Bhakti Women Women Cooperative in East Java with the aim to improve the quality of human resources that exist in Setia Bhakti Women Women Cooperative in East Java. One of the skills training is very good to get enthusiasm is Glass Painting skills training. Skills using the basic ingredients of glass as a medium of painting or coloring has artistic value or value in art that can make ornaments and decorate the house.
Here are some things that need to be noticed in glass painting skills:
1. Materials for Glass Painting
The basic material used is glass, in this case can use the basic ingredients of glass all around us, such as glasses, bottles, plates, place butter, jars, etc.. That needs attention is the object to be used as a medium of painting or coloring should not have much goresannya and blurry, select the glass objects that have a unique and artistic forms .[..]
2. Preparation of materials
The basic ingredients of glass that is in use as media in painting and coloring should be first cleaned of dirt, oil and lemak.Setelah should be in clean and wipe dry with a clean cloth using methanol.
3. Design and pattern painting
Basically to create a pattern of media-based paintings on glass depends on each individual's tastes as a motive that is in use can be various kinds. But the motive or pattern used is floral, cartoons, animals, dragonflies and butterflies. To paint or draw a skeleton motif that will make others use the outliner in advance or could trace patterns on the paper by putting a paper that has been patterned on the side of the glass material in the media, the next frame or motive can be made by copying the image.
4. Colouring
There are two kinds of dyes that can be used in this painting skills Glass:
a. Opaque paint Coates
This is the type of paint that is not transparent and are usually in use for the new practice of glass painting. How to use it is by mengencerkannya first with paint thinner and Fixed Glass Catalist plus (- + 5%).
b. Transparent paint Vetro
These paints produce brilliant colors and transparent. How to use it can be directly in kuaskan in the media-based glass thickness was bersih.Untuk levels as needed can be added with paint thinner. This paint is usually used by craftsmen trained glass painting
5. Painting
After the use of Out of liner / outer lines on the glass medium, could be in kuaskan with Cat Cat Transparent or opaque Coates Vetro. It would be better if the process of painting using a nylon brush. Kuaskan paint evenly on the glass media do not be too thick. When finished coloring, then drain. (WBA)
